  • Companies with more than 7.5 GWh annual energy consumption \u2013 according to the Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG, since November 18, 2023).<\/li>\n
  • Companies exempt from the EEG levy (BesAR) \u2013 proof of ISO 50001 or an alternative system is required.<\/li>\n
  • Companies in energy-intensive sectors (e.g. steel, chemicals, cement) \u2013 obligation under SpaEfV.\n

          The EnEfG requires companies to prepare and publish implementation plans for energy-saving measures \u2013 but only for measures that are considered economically feasible.<\/p>\n

          Whether a measure is economically feasible is determined by the economic efficiency assessment in accordance with DIN EN 17463 (VALERI). This method considers not only investment and operating costs, but also factors such as net present value over the useful life, energy price increases and residual values. <\/p>\n

          A measure is considered economically feasible if it shows a positive net present value no later than after 50% of its useful life.
